VWKK is a double chamber furnace wherein the gas quenching up to 20 bar in a separate cold chamber is made. In this type of furnace it is also possible to use oil instead of gas as a quenching medium. This allows to expand the production range to steels which could not yet been hardened in gas. This furnace type can be used especially for low-pressure carburizing.
